• Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), an omega-3 fatty acid, plays a critical role as a building block for the brain and eyes (retina) while supporting neural pathway development for proper brain and eye function. DHA contributes to the body’s supply of 17-HDHA, a precursor to Resolvin D1, Protectin D1, and Maresin-1, which support the natural resolution of inflammation and tissue repair.
